Clinical Supervision for Counsellors

Therapeutic approaches, communication, and case discussions

Senta provides clinical supervision for newly qualified to mid-level counsellors.

Supervision sessions focus on helping practitioners expand therapeutic skills, enhance communication expertise, and reflect on therapeutic choices and approaches. It is also a safe space for collegiate discussions about practice, ethical challenges and debriefing the daily counselling experience.

Mentoring Private Practitioners

Mentoring counsellors setting up or operating private practice also focuses on navigating business models and reflecting on the personal effects of running a counselling practice.

Group and Individual sessions

Sessions are conducted online via zoom.

Individual sessions are $135 for 1 hour, and $160 for 1.5 hours.

Group sessions with up to 6 participants are 1.5 hours and fees are $75 per person.

Tailored supervision agreement

The Supervision Agreement between supervisor and supervisee can be tailored to meet your individual needs and your level of experience in practice. It may focus on:

Core skills:

building knowledge, understanding and counselling skill
case conceptualisation and interventions
monitoring ethics, safety and professional standards

Restorative:

offering emotional support and processing the natural stresses in the counselling profession.

As each supervisee grows from beginner to advanced, supervision will often shift from direct teaching to collegial consultation.

Credentials

Senta has been accredited with PACFA as a clinical counsellor since 2018. She has completed intensive supervision courses, supervised counsellors in practice since 2018, both clinical supervision online and for counsellors in practice with her onsite, and has worked for 20 years as a communication specialist for public and private sector in senior positions with direct reports.
